Anthony L. Vargas, age 49, of Milwaukee, passed away on December 17, 2025, at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Anthony, lovingly known as Tony, was born on March 18, 1976, the son of the late Louis E. Vargas and the late Deborah R. Travis. He grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and later made his home in Milwaukee.

Tony took great pride in his work as a professional welder at Appleton Electric in South Milwaukee. He was known for his strong work ethic, generosity, and kind heart. Tony would truly give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.



Above all, Tony cherished time spent with his family and lifelong friends. He especially loved cookouts and family gatherings, which brought him the greatest joy. He also enjoyed attending live concerts and making memories with those he loved.

Tony is survived by his two sons, Timothy Joseph Vargas and Alexander Vargas; his sister, Olivia (Aaron) Deprez; his brothers, Timothy Soto and Joseph (Jenne) Soto; his aunts, Linda Vargas and Jane Vargas; his uncle, Robert Vargas; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis E. Vargas and Deborah R. Travis; his beloved sister, Gina (Vargas) Pena; and his beloved grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
