Carol Lyn (Schoonover) Uitz

June 24, 1956 – February 7, 2026 

Carol Lyn Uitz, 69, passed away on February 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on June 24, 1956, Carol was the life of the party—never one to wait for the fun to find her, but the one who created it. Carol had a way of turning ordinary moments into long lasting memories. She loved music, good gossip and above all, she loved to laugh. 

Her laugh was contagious, warm enough to melt any awkwardness, and genuine enough that you couldn’t help but smile just hearing it. She had the rare ability to find humor even in hard times, reminding those around her that joy could still win.

Carol is survived by her two beloved children: her son, Andrew Uitz, and her daughter, Allison Ayres. 

She was preceded in death by those who went before her, and now she rests, we hope, still chuckling at the stories being told about her.

A private memorial will be held by her family to celebrate Carol’s life. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests raising a glass, telling a funny story, or simply letting yourself laugh out loud in memory of a woman who believed life was better when you didn’t take it too seriously.

Carol will be deeply missed. The world is a little quieter without her laughter, but those who loved her will carry it with them always.
