Cynthia Jane Gawlitta (Dings), passed away peacefully on March 8th, 2026, after a courageous journey with Alzheimer’s. She was 80 years old, born on November 16th, 1945.

Cindy was the loving partner of Don Dories for nearly 50 years, sharing a lifetime of love, companionship and memories together. She was a devoted mother to her son, Scott (Stephanie), and daughter, Pam (Michael) Martin, and a proud and loving grandmother to Tyler, Jordan, Gabby, Donovan and Makenna.

She is further survived by her sister, Linda (Ron) Erdmann. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Dorothy Dings, as well as her brother, Dave (the late Elaine) Dings.

Cindy devoted much of her working life to the patients at The Village at Manor Park, formerly known as Methodist Manor. Her patients loved her fun loving personality! She made sure they were happy and she made them laugh.

Cindy had a special place in her heart for her animals, including her basset hounds Bernie, Barkley, Abby and her mixed hound, Hailey. She often sang to her quaker parrot Jako-Bako who sang right along with her! And don’t forget her cats, Jasper, Cody and Callie. She loved shopping and decorating her house.

Thank you Donny for providing your strength and loving care until her final days. It’s comforting to know she had you by her side throughout her journey. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Cindy’s name to the Wisconsin Humane

Society.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 6th, from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm at The Hideaway Pub and Eatery located at 9643 S, 76th Street, Franklin, Wisconsin. Friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Cindy's life.
