Cyrus Gene Roberts

Cyrus Gene Roberts 55 of Palmyra, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2026.

Gene was born January 11, 1971, to Cyrus and Carol Roberts (Rautson).

He grew up in Palmyra and worked at Creative Packaging for much of his life until the business moved out of town.

Dad was the first one to say Gene was a character, and many have said it since.  Genes' family and friends meant everything to him.  He loved being Uncle Gene and really cherished his great niece Poppy Rain.

Gene never hesitated to lend a helping hand or to tell you he loves you.  He enjoyed fishing, riding his bike, spending time with family and friends and going to the laundromat/coffee shop where he became close friends to the owners and patrons.  Gene loved cooking and could make mom's spaghetti as yummy as she did.

Gene was an animal lover and spent a lot of his time hanging out and bonding with our dogs.

Christmas was his favorite holiday.  The one time a year much of the family was together at the same time!  And he brought the Party!  Gene will be remembered for his smile, kindness, generosity, his sense of humor, his love and protection for his family and friends, and being the character he was.

Gene's stories and memory will live on by those he leaves behind; his father Cyrus (Susan) Roberts; his sisters Rhonda Wright, Carole (David) Steinke, Holly (Salem) Dolan; Stepbrothers Tim and Christopher Zindars; His best friend and cousin (brother) Willy (Cindy) Roberts; Nieces Cassandra Kotlowski, Krystle Behrendt, Kayla Behrendt, Kamyrn Dolan, Devon Cote (Thomas); Nephews Justin Dolan, Daniel Wright, David Wright, His great niece Poppy, many other beloved great nieces and nephews; his Uncle Ellick and Aunt Marcia Roberts; Cousin Tracy; and his other best and longest friend Gloria Moran.  He is further survived by other family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother Carol Roberts, Grandparents, many other family members and close friends, and Princess, the best family pet.

There will be a celebration of life for Gene at Squidys 2 in Palmyra on November 14th from 2:00-6:00pm.
